Privacy Policy

We collect the following categories of information when you use My Fantasy Scores:

Account & Profile Data: When you register, we collect your email address, username, and any profile information you provide through Clerk, our authentication provider.

Fantasy League Connection Data: When you connect a fantasy sports platform (e.g., Sleeper, Yahoo), we collect the access tokens, league IDs, team information, and other data necessary to display your fantasy data within the Service. We store only the minimum data required to provide the Service.

Device & Browser Information: We may collect information about the device and browser you use to access the Service, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and device identifiers.

Usage Analytics: We collect data about how you interact with the Service, such as pages visited, features used, time spent, and click patterns. This data is used in aggregate to improve the Service.

Push Notification Tokens (Mobile App): If you install our mobile app and turn on notifications, we collect a device push token issued by your operating system through Apple Push Notification service (iOS) or Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android). We use it solely to deliver the notifications you have enabled. You can revoke it at any time by turning notifications off in the app or in your device settings.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Authenticate your identity and manage your account
• Sync and display fantasy league data from connected platforms
• Improve, personalize, and expand the Service
• Understand and analyze usage patterns to enhance user experience
• Send transactional emails (account confirmations, security alerts)
• Send optional product updates and news (only if you opt in)
• Deliver mobile push notifications you have enabled (e.g., matchup results, league activity, weekly recaps)
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We rely on the following trusted third-party services to operate the Service:

Clerk (Authentication): We use Clerk to handle user authentication, session management, and account security. Clerk processes your email address and authentication credentials in accordance with their privacy policy at clerk.com.

Neon (Database): User data, connected league tokens, and app data are stored in a Neon PostgreSQL database. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

Fantasy Platform APIs: When you connect platforms like Sleeper or Yahoo, we communicate with their APIs on your behalf using your credentials or OAuth tokens. We are bound by the terms of use of each platform's API.

Apple & Google Push Services (Notifications): When you enable mobile push notifications, we deliver them through Apple Push Notification service (on iOS) and Firebase Cloud Messaging, a Google service (on Android). These services receive your device push token and the notification content solely to deliver the message to your device. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google/Firebase privacy policy.

Expo (Mobile App & Push Relay): Our mobile app is built with Expo. We use Expo's push notification service to relay your notifications to Apple and Google for delivery; it processes your push token and notification payload in transit. Expo's practices are described in their privacy policy at expo.dev.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

My Fantasy Scores offers an optional browser extension for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox (also compatible with Chromium browsers such as Microsoft Edge and Brave). The extension exists because several fantasy platforms do not offer a public login API — the only way to access your private league data on those platforms is to reuse the session your browser already has. If you install and connect the extension, it operates as follows:

• Which sites it works on: The extension activates only on the specific fantasy platform sites it supports — currently ESPN (espn.com), CBS Sports (cbssports.com), Fantrax (fantrax.com), Underdog (underdogfantasy.com, underdogsports.com), FIFA (play.fifa.com), and RTSports (rtsports.com) — plus myfantasyscores.com to link the data to your account. It does not run on, read, or access any other website.
• What it reads: On a supported platform you choose to connect, the extension reads only the session cookies and/or authentication tokens that platform uses to identify you to its own fantasy API. For example, on ESPN it reads the espn_s2, SWID, and ESPN-ONESITE.WEB-PROD.token cookies. It does not read cookies or data for platforms you have not connected.
• Why: These credentials authenticate the platform's fantasy API. Without them, your private league data cannot be fetched on your behalf.
• How they are transmitted: The credentials are sent over HTTPS to our servers (myfantasyscores.com) using an API key unique to your account.
• How they are stored: They are encrypted and stored server-side, associated only with your account. They are never logged in plaintext or shared with third parties.
• Removal: You can disconnect the extension at any time from within the extension popup or from your profile page. Upon disconnection, your stored platform credentials are deleted from our servers.

The extension does not collect your browsing history, track your activity on these sites, or access any data beyond the specific session credentials needed for the platforms you connect.

My Fantasy Scores is also available as a native mobile application for iOS and Android. The mobile app provides the same fantasy dashboard, scores, and league features as the website, and it collects and uses your information in the ways described throughout this policy.

Push notifications. The app can send optional push notifications — for example, matchup results, league activity, and weekly recaps. Notifications are off until you turn them on, and each type can be toggled individually within the app. When you enable them, we collect a device push token (see Section 1) and deliver messages through Apple Push Notification service, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and Expo's push relay (see Section 3). You can turn notifications off at any time from within the app or in your device's system settings; doing so stops delivery, and we remove the associated push token.

Account deletion. You can delete your account and its associated data directly within the mobile app, as well as from your account settings on the web. Deleting your account removes your personal information as described in Section 7 (Data Retention).

The mobile app does not use advertising identifiers and does not track you across other apps or websites.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to provide and improve the Service. Essential cookies are required for the Service to function. Optional analytics cookies help us understand usage patterns. Please see our Cookie Policy for detailed information. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time through the cookie banner.

We retain your account information and associated data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain data for legal or compliance reasons.

Fantasy platform connection tokens are deleted immediately upon disconnection of a platform or deletion of your account. Usage analytics data may be retained in anonymized, aggregated form indefinitely.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (right to be forgotten)
• Portability: Request a portable copy of your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to certain processing of your personal data
• Restriction: Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances

My Fantasy Scores is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. This is consistent with our compliance obligations under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at legal@myfantasyscores.com and we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

We take the security of your data seriously and implement industry-standard measures including:

• Encryption of data in transit using TLS/HTTPS
• Encryption of sensitive data (tokens, credentials) at rest
• Access controls limiting who can access user data
• Regular security reviews of our codebase and infrastructure
• Secure OAuth token management for third-party platform connections

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to protecting your data using commercially reasonable means.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through a notice in the Service. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Your continued use of the Service after any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
